8. Polestar 2
- Monthly lease price: from £438 per month
- Average cost per mile: 4p-7p
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the Polestar 2 makes this list of best electric lease deals. Dubbed by many experts as one of the most complete EVs money can buy, there’s not much to dislike about the Volvo-inspired coupe. We’re particularly impressed with its car-like design inside-out, which gives it an incredibly muscular stance that its rivals can’t seem to compete with.
Starting from around £438 per month, the Polestar 2 is an absolute steal when you consider how effortlessly it delivers strong performance and the inside is laced with luxury materials and style.
Most importantly are the range stats when you take it for a drive. Even the standard single motor model comes with an official range of 273 miles. Or there’s the Long Range version which bumps these figures up to an impressive 335 miles.

7. BMW i3
- Monthly lease price: from £376 per month
- Average cost per mile: 3.7p
Let’s face it, the BMW i3 has caught all of our eyes at some point, either at its 2013 launch or out on the road in the seven years since. Its small, quirky design lends itself to an idealistic city car that can also reach up to 188 miles on a single charge.
Charging is where the i3 excels. BMW‘s first electric car can be fully recharged in just four and a half hours using a 7kW standard charger. Available to lease from just £376 per month, the BMW i3 represents great value for money and has a lot of the premium qualities typical of its parent manufacturer, which its competitiors don’t.
Has the BMW i3 caught your eye? At Moneyshake we show you the best deals on the latest i3 range.
6. Volkswagen ID.3
- Monthly lease price: from £279 per month
- Average cost per mile: 4.1p
Volkswagen is one of the leading manufacturers in developing bespoke electric cars, namely with their sub brand ‘ID’. The first model to join this family of EVs is the car above, the ID.3. A whopping 217-mile range is achieved thanks to the car’s standard 45kWh battery pack which can be recharged fully from a standard 7kW wallbox in 13 hours.
If you travel lots of miles there are two longer-range versions of the ID.3 – one with a 62kWh battery, the other with the largest 82kWh unit. The former is quoted as being able to travel 263 miles between charges. And if that’s not enough, the latter flexes its muscles with an incredible 336-mile range.
What we like so much about the Volkswagen ID.3 is how flexible it is in terms of its performance. Even the entry-level model will have enough range to suit most people for commuting to work and weekend trips away. In the same breath, the electric motor provides sufficient ‘oomph’ too. If you put your foot down in the standard Pure Performance model, 0-62mph takes just 8.9 seconds.
You can get Volkswagen ID.3 lease deals across the entire range through Moneyshake from just £279 per month.
Want to get the best deal on the Volkswagen ID.3? Moneyshake saves you time and money, simplifying your search for a brand-new ID.3.
5. Nissan Leaf
- Monthly lease price: from £268 per month
- Average cost per mile: 4.1p
It wouldn’t be an accurate list of great electric vehicles if we didn’t include the Nissan Leaf. A popular choice among Moneyshake customers, and it is easy to see why when you consider the amount of car you can get even from the standard trim level.
Currently available from just £268 per month, the Leaf manages 168 miles (239 miles in the 62kWh version) on a single charge that can be fully replenished in six hours using a standard public charging point or 7kW home wallbox.
Rapid charging is also standard on every Nissan Leaf trim, which can give the car an 80% battery boost (equivalent to 134 miles) in just 40 minutes using one of the many rapid 50kW chargers available on UK roads.

4. Tesla Model 3
- Monthly lease price: from £497 per month
- Average cost per mile: 4p
A key player in the electric market, Tesla has had its sights firmly set on owning the EV industry for generations. The Model 3 presents a great deal for a prestige brand at just £497 per month on a car that can reach 267 miles on a single charge when you choose the Standard Range Plus specification.
One of the many benefits of choosing a Tesla is that you get access to the brand’s excellent Supercharger network. Delivering a powerful 150kW current, these connectors can charge the Model 3’s battery from 20%-80% in just 20 minutes.
Not only has the Tesla Model 3 got rapid charging under its belt, but performance matches it. Even when you choose a single-motor version (badged ‘Standard Plus’) with rear-wheel drive the car is still a luxury performance saloon. This tells when you put your foot down, with the car quick to respond, taking you to 62mph from standstill in a swift 5.2 seconds.
Models badged ‘AWD’ have two electric motors – one for the front and another for the rear – which makes this sprint time even quicker. The impressive part about each Model 3 is the interior too, which has an incredibly refined, minimalist look that’s dominated by the huge landscape 15in infotainment screen that’s the hub of all your car and media controls.
The Tesla Model 3 is one of our most popular electric cars. Want to get the best deal on your own Model 3? Moneyshake finds you the best Tesla Model 3 lease deals.

Although the Kia e-Niro hasn’t been on the scene for that long (production started in 2018), it has made its mark on the family EV space. With Kia’s latest technology, industry-leading seven-year warranty and fantastic range as standard, there’s no wonder that it’s proven such a hit.
